Arranbee Doll Company was founded in March 1919 with the intention of importing dolls and doll goods from Germany. The founder was William Rothstein when he was only 19 years old. He partnered with Berman, hence the R & B that Arranbee is also known by. The company was taken over by Vogue around 1959 and the Arranbee name was dropped in 1961.

The Little Angel family began in 1952 with a 12" hard plastic toddler doll. Arranbee bought Little Angel from another company, then dressed and marketed her. She was a sell out priced at a whopping $3.98. In 1954, they added her little sister, Littlest Angel like this cutie pie. Many of the clothes for the two dolls coordinated and even included some matching outfits for Nanette. Our littlest Angel is wearing the original February plaid dress with replaced panties. She has a soft vinyl head and a hard plastic walker body with jointed knees. The color on her is amazing! There is a small spot on the white part of her left eye. Her hair is still very soft and shiny and she is just adorable! Her dress could probably stand to be washed, but we didn't dare attempt it!
We believe this doll to be a hard plastic Nanette doll from the 1950's. The back of her neck is marked R & B and she is about 14 inches tall. She has blonde hair and she came to us dressed as she is with a hair net over her hair. Her hair is in wonderful condition and seems to have the original curls still in place. She has green open close eyes with all her lashes. She is not mint, there are a couple of scrapes and scratches she has picked up along the way. Her outfit needs to be washed, but with it being made of felt and red, we have decided that decision would be best made by her new owner. She also wears a pair of white lace up skates.
