A life of Faith dolls, which are growing in popularity, provide role models that help girls imagine and experience a lifestyle of faith.  This line of dolls features five main fictional characters:  Elsie, Millie, Violet, Laylie, and the newest addition, Kathleen. They are ordinary girls with extraordinary faith encountering inspiring adventures that make them intriguing heroines.  Similar to the American Girl Dolls, A Life of Faith dolls emerge from different periods of American history and accompany books that chronicle their experiences and, in this case, testify to their devotion to Jesus.  This line is designed to help mentor girls in their life of faith.  These dolls are 18-3/4 inches tall made of an exceptional quality vinyl.  Most of the clothing is interchangeable with other popular 18 inch dolls.  The dolls have all rotationally-molded vinyl; the head, arms, legs, and torso are ball jointed, so the dolls can sit, stand, and be posed in many positions.  The dolls have hands that can be positioned to pray, and arms that can be raised in praise, and they also can bow their heads in prayer.  These dolls are sculpted by an award winning artist.  The clothing designs are based on historical research.  They are more detailed and use more fabric and trim than most other brands of 18 inch doll clothing.    Each doll has a full wardrobe that was created to portray her lifestyle.  We are exceptionally pleased to offer this new line of dolls.

When we first meet Elsie she is eight years old and growing up in the mid-1840's on a very grand plantation called "Roselands," with its huge mansion, spectacular gardens, large stables, and lush orchards.  Elsie is a sweet, lovely Southern belle with soft hazel eyes and beautiful curly brown hair.  She is an heiress who will inherit millions of dollars when she turns 18.

Unfortunately, Elsie is very, very lonely.  That's because she has never known the love of a parent.  Her mother died right after she was born and she has never met her father.  She lives with relatives who do not welcome her presence in their home.  Elsie is a 18 3/4 inch fully-jointed beautiful doll, she can sit, stand, put her hands together in prayer, and be posed in many positions. Satin undergarments were very popular when Elsie was growing up.  These luxurious petticoats would peek under the hems of dresses when the wind blew.  Elsie feels very elegant in her white petticoat and camisole combination with its matching lace-trimmed pantalettes. A popular Victorian lingerie item was the "combination."  The combination was literally a combination of two items - a camisole and pantalettes.  Elsie's combination buttons up the front and has a bit of elastic in the back.  She likes to wear it with her special occasion gown, along with her pink satin petticoat.  She has a silk gingham ribbon to tie up her shiny curls while she is dressing.  This is a 3 piece set, doll is not included.

When we first meet Millie, she is almost thirteen, the oldest of eight children and the only girl!  Millie has loving Christian parents and a wise, fun and eccentric aunt who visits all the time.  The Keith Family lives in the charming town of Lansdale, Ohio.  Millie has many close friends.

Millie adores her soft, batiste combination. The camisole top is tucked and trimmed with blue buttons. The pantalette legs are tied snuggly at the knees with tiny blue silk bows. Her special occasion petticoat is of gingham printed taffeta, and has ruffled trim that helps give it the proper fullness under her dresses.
